Friday, March 21, 2014 is dedicated to pray for The Mother

In the mothers’ day.. we pray

With the blessing of His Beatitude John X, Patriarch of Antioch and all East.

Our Antiochian Church, as a mother, would like to contribute in wiping the tears of the mothers who lost dear ones, or healing the wounds of those families that lost a mother in the middle of these circumstances that are taking place in Syria.

That is why the Church of Antioch is pleased to proclaim the next Friday March 21, 2014 a day of prayer for The Mother, appreciating the role of the mother for what she offers to her children ensuring their comfort.

For this occasion, in Damascus, the Patriarchate will dedicate the next Friday to pray together in the Holy Cross Church.

The program of this day will include the Divine Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts at 9:00 a.m., and the Service of the Akathist of the Virgin at 6:00 p.m.

We offer this day a bouquet of prayer for the one who tirelessly raised us on the love of God, Homeland and the relative.

“Thou, O Theotokos, are the hope of all Christian folk 
Shelter, guard and watch over those that have put their hope in thee”.
