His Beatitude John X, the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, visited the Wadi al-Nasara amidst a crowd of greeters that set from the valley crossroad to the Patriarchal Monastery Saint George Al-Humaira.
Upon reaching the monastery, a thanksgiving prayer was held in the presence of the Reverend Metropolitans: Basilios Mansour (Akkar), Nicola Baalbaki (Hama), Athanasios Fahed (Latakia), Ephrem Maalouli (Aleppo), Gregorios Khoury (Homs) and Antonios Saad (Houran), the Abbot of the monastery, Archimandrite Gerasimos Kabbas, the priests of the Akkar Archdiocese in Wadi al-Nasara, the priests of the monastery, and a large crowd from the Wadi and the surrounding area. His Beatitude listened to their concerns, worries, and demands that expressed their attachment to their homeland and their love for their church and nation.
In conclusion, His Beatitude addressed a speech to the attendees, encouraging them to remain steadfast in their faith and adhere to their church and land, hoping that the coming days will bring goodness, civil peace, and security to Syria.
