The Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, John X, received Metropolitan Ignatios Dimitriados and Father Emmanuel Papamikrouli as delegates from Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece and from the Greek government, at the St. John of Damascus Institute of Theology in Balamand. During the meeting, the Greek delegation conveyed the solidarity of the Greek Church and government and their support for the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East. In turn, His Beatitude expressed feelings of appreciation to the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece and to the government and people of Greece, mentioning the tight historical relationship that bind the Churches of Antioch and Greece.
