His Beatitude meets with members of the MJO…

 

His Beatitude Patriarch John X met with members of the MJO Central Group at the Patriarchal Monastery Our Lady of Balamand. The group consists of more than seventy young men and women from the archdioceses of the South and Zahle, who meet under the supervision of the Evangelism and Expansion Committee in the Orthodox Youth Movement, as part of its visit to the Patriarchal Monastery Our Lady of Balamand and the Archdiocese of Akkar.

During the meeting, His Beatitude expressed his great joy at being among his children, especially those coming from the southern border villages and the Bekaa, and who were exposed to war in the past months. His Beatitude praised the authenticity of their faith and the strength of their steadfastness in sticking to their homeland, despite all the circumstances.

It is worth noting that the participants came from the following villages and towns: Ibl al-Saqi, Ain Harsha, Kfarmashki, al-Kafir, Rashaya, Aiha, al-Khiam, Saida, Qab Elias and Riyak.
