A Brazilian Delegation in the Patriarchate…

A Brazilian delegation visited the Patriarchate Headquarters in Damascus. Welcoming them was Bishop Ephrem Maalouli, the Patriarchal Vicar, along with Bishops Moussa AlKhouri and Luca Al Khouri. The Braziliation delegation’s members were politicians, professors, intellectuals and journalists.

On behalf of His Beatitude, Bishop Ephrem welcomed the delegation and emphasized the historical coexistence in Syria between Muslims and Christians. Bishop Moussa thanked the delegation members for visiting Syria and comforting the Syrians, and asked them to relay the scene of united Syrians to the Brazilian people.

In their turn, the delegation members underlined the solidarity of the civilized Syrian people well rooted in ancient history. They also emphasized the importance of having the eastern people united in love. They finally expressed their thankfulness for the beautiful scene that they be held in Syria which they will transmit to Brazil.
